Salmonella In Reptiles And Amphibians | Is It A Big Risk?

Salmonella in reptiles and amphibians

How big of a risk is salmonella from reptiles and amphibians? It might not be as bad as you think.

Salmonella actually exists in several different species of animals, not just reptiles and amphibians, but alas these creatures tend to be talked about the most.

The biggest way to prevent the spread of salmonella from your pet is to make sure you always wash your hands after handling your pet or cleaning out the tank. Another great tip to prevent the spread of salmonella is to be sure and wipe the area around the tanks with a good disinfectant spray.
